CONTRACT SIGNED | Jack Maskell

Dunston UTS FC are delighted to announce that young forward, Jack Maskell, has signed a contract with the club until the summer of 2025.

Maskell joins JJ Chrisp who has also agreed to sign a contract with the club. Maskell is only 19-years-old and has a huge amount of potential. He made an immediate impact when he netted twice on the opening game of the season against Bridlington Town.

Since then, Maskell has remained on the sidelines through an injury but, is making good progress ahead of his return to action.

Dunston Manager Jon McDonald has said:

"Jack has been impressive since he joined the club. At only 19-years-old, he's only going to continue to improve.

"We are pleased he has made a commitment to the club, and we look forward to working with him to continue his development.

Club Co-Chairman Tony Cleugh has said:

"Jack is yet another step in our quest to keep progressing the club. As well as the present, we are laying firm foundations for the future.

"Jack is only 19-years-old, and along with JJ [Chrisp] who is 20-years-old, it's setting our stall. I watched Jack a couple of times last season when he was at Horden and he didn't fail to impress.

"It's always a challenge stepping up to a higher league, but Jack has took it in his stride and looks like a proper Dunston UTS-type player! I know our fans are going to love his attitude and work rate and we look forward to seeing him develop even further as time goes on."
