Liamsigning

Chris Swailes announces his first signing ahead of the 2020/21 season

Liam Connell has signed for Dunston UTS FC ahead of the 2020/21 season. The 34 year old shot stopper is regarded by many as one of the greatest goalkeepers in the clubs history as the former club captain played a key part in the clubs FA Vase Final win back in 2012.

Dunston Manager Chris Swailes said "It's great to have Liam at the club" adding "I know him well, having played with him here at Dunston". "He adds know how, experience and will help to strengthen the defence". "We're always looking to strengthen and it's great to have him back, he'll be a massive asset for us this season"

Connell spent many good seasons with Dunston UTS FC before leaving for South Shields in 2016. He made 140 appearances for The Mariners, before spending part of last season on loan at Darlington and brings with him a wealth of experience.

All at Dunston UTS FC are delighted to welcome Liam back to The UTS Stadium.
