Sado

Dunston UTS FC are delighted to announce the signing of striker Sado Djalo from Bedlington Terriers.

The 29 year old forward  caught the attention of Chris Swailes and Assistant Manager Jon McDonald following an impressive goal scoring start to the season, netting 12 league goals in as many appearance in The Ebac Northern League Division 2.

We spoke to Swaz who had this to say:

“Jon and I have been to watch Sado a number of times already this season and he has really impressed us. He’s a big, strong ‘target man’ and he has a really good work rate with a lot of pace. He’s also been scoring a good amount of goals for Bedlington which is something we’ve been lacking this season“.

Although he played, and scored for Bedlington on Thursday night, Sado is still keen to be involved on Saturday.

He will  be available for selection in tomorrow’s home Pitching-In Northern Premier League East game against Frickley Athletic.

We also managed to have a brief catch up with Sado and asked him a couple of questions:

Welcome to the club Sado, How do you feel about joining Dunston UTS FC?

“Although it’s a big step up for me, I’m glad to see all of my hard work at Bedlington paying off. I’m really happy to be joining the club”.

What strengths do you think you will bring to the squad?

“I feel one of my biggest strengths is my ambition to score goals and give my everything to help the team win. I know it’s not going to be easy but I also know that if we work hard, the results will follow.”
