A massive thank you to everyone
Currently sitting fourth in the league, there's a lot to smile about. However, progress off the field has also been outstanding and we would like to thank everyone who is playing their part.
Our average attendance so far this season is 322.8 in all competitions. Last season, our average attendance was 219, meaning there has been a 47.40% increase.
We are seeing a lot of new faces through the gates at The UTS Stadium on a match day which is very encouraging, and the feedback we have received from people attending our home games has also been very pleasing.
Our new partnership with Whickham Fellside Youth FC is another thing which is working well. Mascots, coaches, parents and family have all enjoyed a great time visiting The UTS Stadium on a match day.
As many of you will have seen from our social media posts, we also ran a scheme offering free season tickets to Under 16's who attend local schools in the area. We were able to do this due to the amount of money we raised from our Just Giving page in August. This is another thing that has also went incredibly well and, once again, we would not have been able to do this if it wasn't for the kind generosity of everyone who donated.
In fact, season ticket sales in general this season have beaten any previous record.
It is also worth mentioning our newest signing for the bait cabin as well, burgers! Our new burgers made their debut at yesterday's game against Liversedge. The feedback we have received is immensely positive. We also sold out yesterday. We sold 47 burgers in a crowd that was 197, meaning about every one in four people bought one.
A huge thank you to everyone who is playing their part, on and off the pitch. We are seeing some fantastic progress which could not be achieved if it wasn't for our squad, management team, committee, volunteers and, of course, our amazing supporters.
