Dunston begin the new season with a tough test at home against Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Chris Swailes' side face a tough first game of the 2022/23 Northern Premier League East Division Season, which is just around the corner, with Stocksbridge Park Steels making the trip to the UTS Stadium. The two sides cancelled each other out last season, with Dunston emerging 4-2 victors at home, before being on the wrong side of a 5-2 drubbing away at the Steels late in the season.

Following a positive pre season, Dunston will be looking to kick on and better their 6th place finish from last season, with new signings James Anderson, Daniel Staples, Jake Jensen, Jon Shaw and Sadó Djaló all making a positive impact already.

Ahead of the game, Assistant Manager Jon McDonald said "The lads have been first class throughout pre season, in terms of application and attitude. We are determined to get off to a positive start. We are prepared and ready to get started"
