Steavens joined the club early in the 2023-24 season and was on a dual registration with Newcastle Blue Star. After an injury to the former number one, Dan Staples, Steavens stepped up to play the final couple of months in the season.

The young goalkeeper is a fantastic shot-stopper and also has excellent distribution as well as being very comfortable with the ball at his feet.
