TRANSFER NEWS | David Robinson arrives at the UTS Stadium
Dunston UTS are delighted to announce the signing of former North Shields midfielder David Robinson.
David Robinson becomes Jon McDonald's fourth summer acquisition, following on from the signings of Luke Carr, Jack Maskell and Chris McDonald.
'Robbo' is an experienced midfielder and has most recently spent the last three seasons at North Shields. Previous to North Shields, Robinson had a spells at Newcastle Benfield as well as Seaham Red Star and Blyth AFC where he wore the captain's armband for both clubs.
Robinson is a player that Manager Jon McDonald knows well having worked with him in the past, making it a straight forward decision for Robinson to join the club.
"I think it was the right time for a new challenge and having worked with Jon [McDonald] previously made the decision an easy one." Robinson said after his arrival at the club.
"I am an energetic midfielder who will give everything. This season, we have got to be pushing at the top of the league and take this club to the next level without a doubt. On a personal level, I would like to contribute as much as possible and hopefully chip in with some goals." Robinson added.
