Steven Brown Charity Match
The charity match to raise funds for our former player, Steven Brown, to help aid his recovery after suffering from locked-in syndrome, takes place on Sunday August 4th.
Steven recently developed a rare, life changing condition, locked-in syndrome, after suffering from a stroke. Locked-in syndrome is a condition is which a patient is aware, but cannot move or communicate verbally due to complete paralysis of nearly all voluntary muscles in the body except for vertical eye movement and blinking.
All funds raised from the charity match will go to Steven's GoFundMe page which has been set up by his best friend, Kris Leighton. The money raised will contribute to Broonie's rehabilitation and any treatment down the line which is above what the NHS will provide.
