NEW SIGNING | Young forward Dan Turner signs for Dunston UTS
Young forward Dan Turner is the latest player to be added to the Dunston UTS ranks by manager Jon McDonald this summer.
Turner’s arrival marks signing number five for McDonald, bolstering Dunston's attacking options alongside new signings Scott Robson and Josh Gilchrist.
The 20-year-old arrives in NE11 on the back of a very succesful 2023/24 season, achieving promotion to Northern League Division One with Newcastle Blue Star.
Dan will be familiar with a number of his new team mates, having played with a number of them during his time at North Shields and Whickham over the past few seasons.
Turner said: "When Jon [McDonald] approached me for the upcoming season I thought it was a fantastic opportunity to test myself at a higher level."
"I can't wait to get started, I hope I can help the team go one better than last seasons and get promoted."
"With the quality in this squad, I'm sure all the lads are wanting the same."
Manager Jon McDonald said: "Dan is another talented young player, he's technically very good and has an eye for goal."
"Once again, he fits the profile of players we are looking for at the club. He's talented, hungry and wants to progress. We are delighted he's agreed to join us".
