The former Luton Town, Gateshead, and Blyth Spartans man arrived at the UTS Stadium at the beginning of October and has made seven appearances in total for the club.

After a lengthy injury lay-off, O'Donnell made his return to action, and his Dunston debut, as a second half substitute against Heaton Stannington last month. O'Donnell's first goal for the club came last Tuesday when he netted his first ever senior career hat-trick in our 6-1 win against Consett.

"JJ has been a positive influence both on and off the pitch. He has shown his quality already and we are delighted that he has now committed his future to Dunston," Jon McDonald said.

"Aside from his obvious ability, he is a great character and this also fits the profile of the type of person we want at our club," he added.
