Gardiner joined Dunston just under two months ago, making his debut off the bench against Gainsborough Trinity in the Emirates FA Cup.

He went on to make six appearances for the club, scoring one goal on his second start against Bridlington Town in October. He played his final game for the club against Blyth Spartans three days later, where he suffered an arm injury which has kept him out since.
