Turnbull has made a number of appearances from the bench for Jon McDonald's side in pre-season, including a cameo against Seaham Red Star which saw him hit the woodwork.

The 22-year-old was named Supporters' Player of the Season & Players' Player of the Season at Northern League Division Two side Billingham Town last season.

Dunston manager Jon McDonald said: "Alfie is a young player who was recommended to us from somebody we trust. He's come in during pre-season and really impressed us all. He's got a great attitude and we are really looking forward to developing him".
