All first round qualifying ties will be played across the weekend of Friday 30th August to Sunday 1st September.

Dunston's most recent meeting with Birtley came in pre-season two years ago, as Dunston led 3-0 before the game was abandoned.

Currently nineteenth in Northern League Division One, Birtley beat Blyth Town 2-0 in the preliminary round. They also saw off Bridlington Town in the round before.
