Coulson signs new one-year contract

Richard Coulson has signed a new one-year contract with Dunston UTS, becoming the latest player to commit to the club for the 2024/25 season.

The 29-year-old joined the club in December 2021 and has now agreed to spend a further 12 months playing in Dunston colours.

After initially joining the club as a forward, Coulson has become “Mr. Versatile” during his time at the UTS Stadium, having played in almost every position across the pitch, including multiple spells at centre half.

Coulson has made 91 appearances for Dunston since joining from Whitley Bay, netting sixteen times including his excellent hat-trick in April’s 5-2 win at Newton Aycliffe.

“I’m delighted Richie has extended his stay with us” said Dunston manager Jon McDonald.

“Like David Robinson and Phil Turnbull, he’s an integral part of our group”.

“Despite his injuries last season, he finished the season very strong with a hat-trick at Newton Aycliffe and then a goal in the play-off semi-final”

Everyone at Dunston UTS would like to congratulate Richie on signing his new deal.
