Dunston UTS FC are delighted to announce that 20-year-old, JJ Chrisp, has signed a contract with the club until the end of the 2024-25 season.

JJ has made an instant impact since signing for the club over the summer from North Shields. He has featured seven times in our opening eight games of the season, picking up two Man of the Match awards.

The young midfielder has shown his versatility in the early stages of the season slotting in at left-back when called upon. Whether he has started games, or has been brought on off the bench, JJ has proved that he is more than deserving off being offered a contract at the club.

"I decided to sign a contract because I've really enjoyed my start at the club, and I can see a future here." JJ said.

"My first few months have been top draw. The lads, the management, and the people who put in the effort behind the scenes. I can feel a real togetherness at the club." He added.

"My aims when I first joined the club was to get myself into the team and do the best that I could for the club.

"My aims now are to keep striving to stay in the team and hopefully go on and have a good season and push for promotion."

Club Co-Chairman Tony Cleugh has also commented on the news of JJ Chrisp signing a contract to remain with the club until the end of next season:

"We have been more than impressed with JJ's performances since joining us from North Shields.

"He is in the mould of some previous tough-tackling midfielders that the club has had in the past, and he has the skills and guile to go with it. We see him as future captain material and he is very much part of our plans for the future."
