Club News | Liam Thear

Dunston UTS FC are sad to confirm that Liam Thear has suffered a ruptured ACL and will require surgery, plus 9-12 months of rehab.

'Scrappy' initially picked up the knee injury during our pre-season friendly against Whitley Bay in July, but made a major comeback against Ashington in September where he would mark his 200th league appearance for the club.

He then went on to feature the following week away at Nantwich in the FA Trophy however, he has not featured since.

The reoccurrence of the the original injury has been keeping Thear on the side-lines ever since, and scans have now confirmed that he has ruptured his ACL and will require surgery and 9-12 months of rehabilitation.

Everyone at the club would like to wish Liam the best in his recovery, and the club will be helping and supporting him throughout the whole process.

We're all behind you, Scrappy.
