Match Preview | Bridlington Town (H)
Dunston look to build on their recent cup success in league action, welcoming a familiar opponent in Bridlington Town.
Last Meeting
Dunston UTS 3-2 Bridlington Town (NPL East - 15th February 2025)
Jon McDonald's side picked up three crucial points in their bid for a play-off spot in February against tomorrow's visitors, with a goal from JJ O'Donnell and a Dale Pearson brace. O'Donnell opened the scoring early doors, as Phil Turnbull floated a near post cross which O'Donnell nodded powerfully past Ben Voase in goal. The Seasiders equalised less than twenty minutes later, as a poorly defended attack allowed Michael Coulson to nicely finish a volley past Dan Lowson from a few yards out. Dunston immediately pulled back in front before scoring again before half-time, via a Dale Pearson brace. His first saw him bounce a defender off him in the box before taking past another, allowing him to poke it past the Bridlington goalkeeper. His second goal saw him pounce on a poor headed pass-back from visiting captain Tom Allan, giving him the chance to dink the ball over Ben Voase. Allan made up for his mistake with a second-half goal for the away side, as he escaped from Michael Pearson in the box and headed a free-kick into the top right corner. Both teams pushed desperately for another goal, but Dunston held out for an important victory.

Recent Form
Dunston UTS - WWLWW
Bridlington Town - LLLDW
The Fed have had a very mixed 2025/26 so far, with fantastic form in cup competitions but a poor run in the league after a strong start. They haven't won in their last four league games, losing three of those and drawing one. However in the cup, they have beaten two Step 3 sides and have made it to the First Round Proper of the Isuzu FA Trophy for the second time in club history.
Mike Thompson's side have had a tough run of games recently, losing to the likes of Matlock Town and Guiseley, whilst also losing to Garforth Town on Tuesday. Their last league win came in August against North Ferriby, who they also picked up their latest win against in the Isuzu FA Trophy almost a month ago.
