Match Preview | Blyth Spartans (H)

Dunston play their last of four home games in a row tomorrow evening, welcoming Blyth Spartans to the UTS Stadium.

Last Meeting

Dunston UTS 1-2 Blyth Spartans (Pre-Season Friendly - 28th August 2020)

Dunston welcomed fans back to the UTS Stadium for the first time since the first COVID-19 lockdown began, hosting Step 2 Blyth Spartans in a pre-season friendly. The visitors scored twice before half-time, with Panos Katsamagkas opening the scoring after a header across the box from Robbie Dale allowed him to easily slot it past Liam Connell. The second was one to forget for Dunston's goalkeeper, as Connell let a low driven effort from Corey McKeown slip through his hands. The Fed grabbed one back in the second half, as a Jack Elliott cross deflected off former Championship defender Michael Nelson. Blyth dominated the game but in the end could only win by one goal, as both sides gained some key match fitness ahead of the 2020/21 season.
