Dunston look to build on Saturday’s opening day win with a short trip to newly promoted Blyth Town at Gateway Park tomorrow evening (7:45pm kick-off).

Jon McDonald’s men faced Blyth Town in a pre-season friendly ahead of the 2024/25 season, as part of the St. Mary’s Inn Cup. In a sixty-minute game, Dunston ran out 2-1 victors with goals from Scott Robson & David Robinson.
Recent Form
Dunston opened the 2025/26 campaign on Saturday afternoon with a professional 1-0 victory against North Ferriby. With windy conditions making it a tough game for both sides, Jude Swailes’ headed goal gave Dunston all three points at the UTS Stadium.
The visitors have lost their opening two games of the season, with a 2-1 loss to Northern League side Horden CW in the Emirates FA Cup, before losing 1-0 away at Brighouse Town in league action on Saturday.

Cameron Gascoigne – Cameron, nephew of former England and Newcastle star Paul Gascoigne, grew up in Dunston. He’s previously played for Newcastle United academy, Ashington, Whitley Bay & Newcastle Benfield. Gascoigne has also played for England Univerisites, an honour which the likes of Jude Swailes, Dan Turner & Rory Edwards also hold.

"It'll be a tough game, Blyth Town did really well last season to come up through the play-offs".
"It's important to get off to a good start because you play a lot of games during the first couple of weeks".
"We'll be ready, the lads will recover well from Saturday and we have a few lads who are available again. We're in a really good position".

Jon McDonald revealed in his post-match interview from the 1-0 victory against North Ferriby, that JJ O’Donnell & Tom Devitt will be available for selection this Tuesday, after missing Saturday’s league opener.
Richard Coulson remains on the sideline with a long-term knee injury, whilst JJ Chrisp has missed the last two matches with an injury picked up against Darlington.
Tom Devitt could make his 30th appearance for the club, whilst Fin Neary could make his Dunston debut.
