Dunston look to bounce back from a difficult bank holiday weekend, taking on Northern League side Kendal Town in the Emirates FA Cup.
Last Meeting
The last meeting between the two sides was in Northern North West Division action in December 2019, as Dunston secured a 2-0 win with 10-men at the UTS Stadium. Cedwyn Scott opened the scoring on 30 minutes after a mazy run from Luke Page, laying it to Scott to tap it past Morgan Bacon in goal. Mark Fitzpatrick was shown a red card late on in the game, after a late challenge on Kendal midfielder Christian Sloan. In the final minutes, Jake Stafford curled a beautiful free-kick into the right side of the net to wrap up the game.

Jon McDonald’s side suffered two heavy defeats on bank holiday weekend, suffering a 3-1 loss away at Bradford Park Avenue & a 4-1 defeat at home to Redcar Athletic. Dunston won their previous four games before this.
Matt Flynn’s Kendal Town side suffered their second defeat of the season on Tuesday night, suffering an agonising last-minute defeat against Horden CW. They’d been unbeaten in all competitions since an opening day defeat at Newcastle Benfield, winning six games and drawing one.
One to watch
Bailey Kenny – Kenny was one of Kendal’s standout performers of the 2024/25 season, picking up the Players’ Player of the Year, Committee Player of the Year & Supporters’ Player of the Year awards. Described as a “true leader and a warrior” by his manager Matt Flynn, Kendal’s skipper will be one to keep an eye on in their midfield tomorrow.
Player Information
Josh Donaldson has been missing since picking up an injury at the start of the season against Blyth Town.
Richard Coulson remains on the sideline with a long-term knee injury, whilst JJ Chrisp is yet to make an appearance in the 25/26 season after sustaining an injury in pre-season.
