MATCH PREVIEW | Stockton Town (A)

Dunston will be looking to inflict a first defeat on table toppers Stockton Town on Saturday as Chris Swailes' side make the relatively short journey compared to recent weeks down to Teesside. Having endured trips to Scarborough Athletic, Mossley AFC, Bootle FC, Long Eaton United and Ashton United over the last seven weeks, this game is a welcome addition to what has been a relentless fixture list.

Stockton have started the season in formidable form, and picked up eight wins from their first eight games before dropping their first points in a 1-1 draw with Grantham Town last weekend. Their only defeat's of the season come in the FA Cup where they were knocked out by Pontefract Colleries, and the FA Trophy where they were knocked out by Hebburn Town.

Dunston have enjoyed a fine run of form themselves and go into this game unbeaten in seven games. This has included an 8-1 win at Willington in the Durham County Cup on Wednesday evening, in which Sadó Djaló scored a second half hat-trick in a man of the match performance. Confidence is high within the camp, and with two in forms sides going at it, it promises to be a fantastic match.

Dunston's assistant manager Jon McDonald said: "It's a game we are really looking forward to. Stockton are top of the league on merit, but we are going into the game on the back of a seven game unbeaten run. The lads are in good form, so Saturday promises to be a really good contest."
