PREVIEW| North Shields (A)
The hosts for tomorrow evening's fixture North Shields are enjoying life in their first season in the Northern Premier League East Division, and currently sit in a respectable 9th place with 15 points from 10 games. They've kept a clean sheet in each of their last four league games, and have recorded wins over Grantham Town, Pontefract Colleries and Grimsby Borough in the process.
Dunston come into this game looking for their ninth unbeaten game in a row. Having dispatched Willington 8-1 in the Durham County Cup, Chris Swailes' side travelled to top of the league Stockton Town on Saturday, who had yet to lose in the league. After Will Jenkins opened the scoring with a beautiful curling effort, the hosts hit back with 10 minutes to go. Despite this, Dunston dug in and took all three points thanks to an injury-time Jon Shaw header for a vital three points, moving the team up to third in the league.
Ahead of the trip to the coast, Assistant Manager Jon McDonald said:
"It's another local derby for us, and one we are really looking forward to. We are in good form, coming off the back of a good performance on Saturday, which continued our unbeaten run. Our aim is to continue with the momentum that is growing."
"North Shields have adjusted well to the division, and we know all about their threats. I'm sure it will be another well contested game."
