REPORT | Dunston UTS 4-0 Brighouse Town

Goals in the first 15 minutes from Will Jenkins and Richard Coulson were followed in the second half with strikes from Terry Galbraith and Jack Elliott to seal a comprehensive win and move Dunston up to third in the table, extending Chris Swailes' sides unbeaten run to 10 games.

Dunston flew out of the traps and were ahead inside 10 minutes. Jack Elliott skipped past his marker and stuck a low cross into the box which was controlled brilliantly by Will Jenkins who fired low into the bottom left to give Dunston a dream start.

Brighouse looked for an immediate response, and following a surge down the left, Terry Galbraith needed to be at his best to excellently stop the counter attack with a sliding challenge.

On 15 minutes, Dunston's start got even better when Richard Coulson tapped in for 2-0. A brilliant Phil Turnbull cross-field ball was met by Jenkins, who raced down the byline and crossed low to the unmarked Coulson at the back post who could not miss.

It was almost 3-0 on 18 minutes when Coulson beat a number of defenders with tricky turns, but his shot was well saved by the feet of Roxburgh in the Brighouse goal.

The visitors again looked to get back into it, when Jack Normanton broke down the right but could only hit the side netting.

As the half ebbed on, both teams had big chances to score. First Sadó Djaló fired over from the edge of the box, before Brighouse broke down the left, only for James Anderson to make a wonderful stop down low to preserve the two goal lead heading into the break.

Dunston came out strongly again in the second half, and almost had their third goal through Djaló. The forward latched onto a superb looping ball from Phil Turnbull over the Brighouse backline, but the forward could not beat Roxburgh. Djaló was proving a nuisance for the defence of the West Yorkshire outfit, and levered a shot wide after good work from Elliott out wide as Dunston looked to make things safe.

On 73 minutes, it was game over as Terry Galbraith got in on the action to make it 3-0. A Will Jenkins delivery from a free kick evaded everyone and was only parried by Roxburgh, before finding Galbraith at the back post who had the simplest of tap ins to wrap up victory.

There was still time for Dunston to grab a fourth however, when Jack Elliott flicked a ball past his man on the halfway line, sprinted through towards goal and audaciously looped the ball into the net to round off a perfect afternoon for Dunston, to make it 10 games unbeaten.

Resolute at the back, and electric attack meant that Dunston extended their unbeaten run to 10, and sees the team rise up to 3rd. Coalville Town are up next at the UTS Stadium next Saturday, in the Isuzu FA Trophy.
