PREVIEW | Stockton Town (A)

Dunston make the journey to Stockton Town FC in the Durham FA Challenge Cup Quarter Final for the second meeting between the sides this season.

FORM

Dunston have not played in over two weeks due to frost postponements at Sheffield FC two weeks ago and Stocksbridge Park Steels last weekend. Despite this, they come into the game in good form and are currently five games unbeaten in all competitions. Coming into this round, Dunston have already progressed past Esh Winning FC, Willington FC and Chester-Le-Street Town FC in the three previous rounds of the competition, scoring 17 goals in the process in 4-2, 8-1 and 5-1 wins respectably.

Our hosts tomorrow Stockton Town had the fortune of being able to play at the weekend, a game which they lost 1-0 to table-toppers Worksop Town. Despite the defeat, Stockton are comfortably sitting in second place ten points clear of Hebburn Town in 3rd. They are currently three without a win in the league but in previous rounds of the competiton knocked out Easington Colliery 4-0 and Sunderland RCA 5-0.

The two teams have met this season already, and it was Dunston's day as an injury time winner from Jon Shaw gave Chris Swailes' side a massive three points on the road earlier in the season. The winner of the tie will be at home to the winner of Spennymoor Town FC and Bishop Auckland FC.

With a place in the semi-finals at stake, both sides are expected to field strong sides in what should be an enthralling pre-christmas encounter.
