Transfer news - Luke Porritt joins Dunston UTS FC.
Chris Swailes continues to add quality ahead of the coming season
Chris Swailes has yet again added further quality to his side ahead of the 2021/22 season with the signing of 25 year old forward Luke Porritt.
Having recently moved to the North East and trained with the club during pre-season, Swaz has wasted no time in securing Porritt's signature following an impressive display against Gateshead FC on Tuesday night.
Up until last season, Porritt had been with Northern Premier League side Scarborough Athletic, although his time there had been hampered by injury, he was highly thought of by Supporter's. Previous to that he had been with Hyde United, where again, his attitude and ability had earned him the respect and admiration of those at the Club.
Starting out as a youngster at Guiseley, he has had loan spells with Frickley and Ossett Albion.
Dunston UTS FC Manager Chris Swalies had this to say on his latest signing:
"Luke's a quality player and has played at a higher level. He's a real threat, he's direct, uses the ball well and can play in all positions across the front".
With Assistant Manager Jon McDonald adding
“Luke has a good pedigree, having played higher up the pyramid for a number of clubs. He’s shown a great attitude and energy during pre season already, and he will be an excellent asset to an already strong squad of players here at the club. We are delighted he’s chosen to sign for Dunston UTS FC”.
Speaking to the player himself
"I’m actually delighted to have finally signed, after the 11 months I’ve had with an injury especially". He continued "I’m also excited because of the quality in the changing room as I’ve played against a couple of players in the past and everyone at training has looked quality".
The signing of Luke Porritt, along with Phil Turnbull, Craig Baxter and Lee Mason is a sign of exciting times to come this season at The UTS Stadium.
