Dunston UTS FC are delighted to welcome both Jake Turnbull and Michael Fowler to The UTS Stadium.

Jake Turnbull arrives from Northern League side Newcastle Benfield, the pacy winger has had previous spells with Ashington and Heaton Stannington.

Michael Fowler is a 20 year forward and arrives at The UTS Stadium having recently completed a Scholarship in The USA with Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. He started his career with Sunderland AFC before then moving on to Burnley, where he was a prolific scorer at youth level

Having completed a successful scholarship with The Premier League side, he then joined Fleetwood Town as part of their development squad. He has had loan spells with FC United of Manchester, Guiseley and Bamber Bridge, before moving to the US in July 2021.

Speaking to Dunston UTS FC's  assistant manager Jon McDonald on the double signing, he stated:

“Jake is a very good athlete, he’s quick, strong and versatile and we think he has a good profile for this division”.

On the signing of Michael Fowler

“Despite still being young, he has a great pedigree having played higher up the pyramid and also in the full time game”.  Adding “He’s hungry to do well and score goals and we are delighted he’s chosen to join Dunston, as we know there were many clubs wanting his signature. We hope we can help him to continue to develop as a player and enjoy his football”.
