Transfer news

Chris Swailes adds two players to his squad.

Dunston UTS FC are delighted to welcome Eddie Thomas to the club. The young forward joins on a dual registration from Gateshead FC.

Having impressed during pre-season for “The Heed”,  scoring during his parent clubs win at The UTS Stadium, he is highly regarded and will certainly add to Dunston’s attacking line.

On signing for Dunston, Thomas (pictured above, centre) commented:

“I want to say thank you to the staff at Gateshead FC and Dunston UTS for giving me this opportunity. Dunston UTS are a great club with a strong fan base. I am really looking forward to continuing my development and will give all I can on the pitch”.

Dunston UTS FC manager Chris Swailes said:

”We’re always looking to improve the squad and I‘m delighted get Eddie in”. He continued “I thought, looking at the squad, I wanted to add some youth and Eddie is a very talented youngster”.

Thomas will be available for selection tomorrow, as Dunston travel to Northern League side Newcastle Benfield in the preliminary round of The FA Cup.

Additionally, experienced midfielder Matty Pattison (pictured below in green) has been brought in.

The 34 year old was recently with near neighbours Whickham as player manager.

Some of his former clubs include  Newcastle United, Norwich City, Gateshead and Blyth Spartans.

Again, like Thomas, he will be available for selection tomorrow.
