Dunston UTS FC are delighted to announce young defender Jude Swailes has signed a contract extension. The exciting youngster has shown a lot of promise after joining the club in January this year. Swailes began his career as a youngster in Newcastle United’s academy setup and made his way into the Magpies’ Under 23’s side. He made over 30 appearances across the Premier League Under-18’s and Under 23’s Premier League 2. Jude was offered a new 2 year contract at St James’ Park before turning it down in favour of a move to the United States to join Charleston College in South Carolina.

When speaking to the club about signing a new deal with Dunston, Jude expressed his delight with remaining at the UTS Stadium. “I’m delighted to sign a new contract with the club. Looking back to last season, it was good to get some minutes under my belt and get a good feel for non-league football. I’m looking forward to this season and I am hoping to perform well and further understand the league when called upon.”
