BREAKING TRANSFER NEWS: Djaló back for more as Dunston continue to bolster attacking options.

Dunston UTS have made further improvements to their squad ahead of the upcoming 2022/23 Northern Premier League East Division season, with striker Sadó Djaló returning to the club following a spell at National League North side Blyth Spartans.

The Guinea Bissau born forward joined Dunston towards the start of the 2021/22 season from local Northern League side Bedlington Terriers, and made an instant impact to Chris Swailes’ side, scoring on debut in a 6-0 thumping at home against Frickley Athletic. Sadó went on to score a further eight goals in just 11 games, which saw Dunston go seven unbeaten at home in the process.

Sadó’s scoring form didn’t go unnoticed, and in November the offer of a chance to shine at Blyth Spartans was too good to turn down. Despite his move to Croft Park, Sadó’s gametime was limited under new Spartans manager Terry Mitchell. A one month loan back to Dunston late last season has led Sado to head back to the UTS Stadium, where he will link up with old faces as Dunston look to start the new season strongly.

On his return to the UTS Stadium, Sadó explained: “ It is with great pride that I accept the wonderful challenge again offered by Dunston UTS FC, a great club with great ambitions. I’d like to thank the trust put in me by the club, management, and fans, and would also like to thank my team mates and directors of the club for a warm reception back”

 Welcome back, Sadó!
