Match Preview - Lincoln Utd vs Dunston UTS FC
Dunston UTS FC make the long trip down to Lincoln United this Saturday in The Pitching-In Northern Premier League East Division.
Positive results in February are crucial if Dunston are to remain within reach of the play-off places. Chris Swailes’ side shone throughout January and they remain unbeaten since the start of the year, having collected 10 points from a possible 12.
Should Jake Stafford feature in this game, it will mark his 100th appearance for the club, a superb achievement for a very popular player amongst supporters. Jake Turnbull and Jude Swailes could be in-line to make their debuts for Dunston.
The two sides met back in November, with Dunston winning 3-1, the home side scoring 3 goals in a second half come-back, having trailed 0-1 at half time.
Lincoln United currently occupy 15th place in the table and have struggled to pick up wins on home soil, winning only 2 games from 11 fixtures at Ashby Avenue. The home side are without a win since the 4th of December and have only collected 1 point from their previous six league games.
They had lead for the majority of their game away to Shildon last weekend, only to concede twice in the last ten minutes, whilst Dunston’s scheduled game at home to Sheffield FC fell victim to the weather.
With all the sides above Dunston, who are currently in 7th place, playing sides below them in the table, an away win is vital if Dunston are to keep pace with those above them.
The Coach will depart from The UTS Stadium at 09:30 and is priced at £10 return.
Payment for entry to the game can be made on the turnstiles at Ashby Avenue and is priced at: Adults £9
Juniors (5 to 16) £3
